FISSEA 2019 Conference – Final Agenda and 3 Weeks to Register!

We invite you to join us for the our 2019 FISSEA conference on June 27-28, 2019! The conference is about three weeks away and we now have a final agenda!

This year’s theme is Innovations in Cybersecurity Awareness and Training: A 360-Degree Perspective—and we plan to bring together visionaries, experts, and beginners from industry, academia, and government to discuss and share leading practices on improving cybersecurity through awareness, training, and education. The two-day conference will be held at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD. You, as part of our cyber workforce, are especially important to addressing emerging threats in our connected world. As the threat landscape changes, our cybersecurity practices, methodologies, and processes must continuously evolve and adapt. It takes a coordinated effort to help ensure the security of our digital economy.

Our keynote speakers this year will be Shayla Treadwell (Director of Cybersecurity – Organizational Psychologist, ECS Federal) and Steven Hernandez (Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Information Assurance Services, U.S. Department of Education). 

There will also be featured presentations by: Rosario Mendez (Division of Consumer and Business Education for the Federal Trade Commission) and Tiffany Schoenike(Chief Operating Officer for the National Cyber Security Alliance) — along with other excellent speakers from industry, academia and government.

  • Participate in the Exhibitor Showcase.
    • The Federal Business Council (FBC) hosts an exhibition with table top displays which includes an exhibitor fee. The Exhibitor Showcase provides an opportunity for government agencies, institutions of higher education, and private sector or non-profit organizations to showcase products and services. Organizations can share general services, highlight projects and initiatives, and other information for the purpose of creating awareness about their capabilities. Exhibitors should contact the FBC directly to make arrangements.  Government agencies are not charged a fee to participate during this exhibition but they still need to register their participation with the FBC.
